Role
Orc-- Cosmetics is looking for a driven, resourceful, and organized Marketing Associate with a passion for beauty. This is a unique opportunity as you will be exposed to all aspects of building a beauty brand - you will play an essential part in revolutionizing the definition of an Asian beauty brand. Working in a start-up is a learning opportunity like no other, but possessing the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty is key.
The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Head of Marketing and CEO in managing campaigns, creating content, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams (such as digital marketing and product development), conducting marketing research, managing social media channels, and providing outstanding customer service. This individual will work with key social media and digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and Pinterest, as well as seek out emerging opportunities that can help us grow our customer base and brand awareness. Success in this role requires a knowledge of the cosmetics social space, excellent project management skills, a keen eye for compelling and innovative content, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Your Impact

• Act as 360 project manager on marketing campaigns and ensure deadlines are met in advance with long-lead planning
• Strategize, create, and edit content for TikTok and Instagram
• Oversee day-to-day social media channel management, inclusive of scheduling content across all social platforms, posting and engaging with the online community
• Deliver design requests to graphic and product designers, as well as manage revisions and punctual delivery of assets
• Copywriting for social media and email marketing
• Strategically propose content creator and brand partnerships to increase awareness and boost sales, and manage relationships with these parties
• Provide excellent customer service via email and social media platforms, help to facilitate returns/exchanges, and present insights to relevant teams to improve brand offerings
• Research trends in the beauty space, topics to be covered on The Orc-- Edit blog, consumer insights, market expansion opportunities, as well as ideas for promoting sales and increasing brand awareness
  What You Bring To The Table
  
  • Passion for makeup/skincare and all things social media
  • Well-versed in the TikTok landscape and strong interest in content creation
  • Skilled in video editing for TikTok and Instagram Reels, as well as basic graphic design
  • Excellent written communication skills and an expert at coming up with compelling and engaging copy
  • Fluency in paid and organic media platforms
  • Proficiency in Shopify and project management tools such as Planable
  • Experience in managing marketing campaigns and calendars
  • A positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to work hard - taking on all tasks with enthusiasm no matter the size
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and a hunger for learning
  • Self-disciplined, responsible, accountable, and able to take constructive criticism
  • Great teamwork and interpersonal skills including strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, an embedded drive for results, and a willingness to work across many departments and effectively prioritize
  • Eagerness to master new programs, software, media platforms, and skills to better yourself for your role
    What Is Required Of You
    
    • Experience working for a beauty brand
    • 3+ years experience in Marketing or Social Media-related field
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
    • Proficiency in design and editing programs such as Figma, Canva, and InShot
    • Proficiency in email marketing using Klaviyo
    • Proficiency in Google Suite
    • Must reside in Los Angeles, CA
